Rita Beckwith, OBE is a prominent figure in our UK tourism industry. As Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of City Cruises Plc, Rita has played a key role in building the business to be the leading force in tourism and leisure on the River Thames. As an inspirational speaker, Rita has sought to change the perception of the River Thames, challenging the past and building a picture of the future.

She has also been a role model for women, showing how they can compete in the workplace, yet still retain composure, professionalism and dignity. Rita has played an active role in the industry as past Chairman of Docklands Business Club, and was Chairman of UKinbound for six years. Since then she has served on the Council of the London Chamber of Commerce, Board of Visit Greenwich and served the community as a Director of Greenwich Theatre and Chairman of the London Docklands Singers.

She was honoured by the Hall of Fame in 2019.
